Josephine Miller completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Jo has worked in both the private and public sector, in regional and rural Queensland, providing individual and group treatment programs. She has also assisted in the development of psychological services to serve the rural community.
Jo has a warm, friendly, and professional therapeutic style and tailors her treatment to meet the individual needs of her clients. She utilises a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, and Mindfulness. Jo has experience in working with mood and anxiety disorders, stress, grief and loss issues, substance use disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, intellectual disabilities, and adjustment issues. Jo has also conducted cognitive assessments, specialist behaviour assessments, and has provided services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Jo has additional experience providing treatment to clients experiencing significant gastroenterological conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, functional issues, liver diseases, and portal hypertension. Jo is committed to providing an excellent service, and is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for clients to work towards their treatment goals and to reach their potential.
