Melanie Webley completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland. She has worked for 16 years as a psychologist in hospital and community settings. Melanie provides evidence-based parent education and training, and has a passion for supporting families to have positive and rewarding parenting experiences. Melanie also enjoys working with parents and children to improve behavior and routines, child confidence, self-regulation, and social skills. Melanie uses a collaborative approach to treatment, tailoring strategies to suit individual family needs.
In addition, Melanie provides interventions for adults experiencing difficulties with stress, anxiety, and depressed mood, drawing from frameworks such as cognitive behaviour therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Melanie has a special interest in supporting people to work through life challenges such as fertility treatment, acute illness, chronic disease, and grief and loss.
