Dr Jackie Stewart completed her professional Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology at James Cook University. Over the past 18 years she has worked in a wide variety of psychological services across Australia including private practice, public and private hospitals, policing, Royal Flying Doctor Service and with current serving and veteran police and Defence Force personnel.
Jackie is trained in several evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and adjunct therapies such as Medical Hypnosis. She is experienced in writing and facilitating group programs and has spent a significant amount of her career providing psychological services to adults who have experienced trauma and/or persistent pain as well as other chronic illnesses. Jackie is skilled in working with a broad range of psychological presentations such as anxiety and mood disorders, relationship difficulties and life transition periods. She has a keen interest in the mind-body connection and gets tremendous satisfaction from seeing clients make changes in their lives that enable them to thrive. Jackie is committed to providing a high quality service in a safe and caring environment.
