For the last 15 years, Jala has lived and worked on the beautiful Sunshine Coast where she completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is experienced in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various psychological disorders across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Jala has worked as part of multidisciplinary teams targeting early intervention, chronic pain, end of life care, and acute mental health. Her special interests include interpersonal difficulties, somatic stress responses, and adult attachment trauma. 


Jala draws from various evidence-based psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Based Therapies. With a gentle and open therapy style, Jala focuses on developing a therapeutic relationship built on respect and a shared commitment to positive change. She utilises a values-based approach to support individuals to make positive changes, and to find meaning and connection within their lives.
