Bonnie Kirkman completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast and has experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating individual clients with a wide range of psychological difficulties across the lifespan. Bonnie has worked with adults and children experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety, as well as issues related to adjustment, role transition, grief and loss, and interpersonal challenges. Bonnie has a special interest in treating children and adolescents, and helping them develop the knowledge and skills to understand their emotions and behaviour and to face adversity with resilience.
Bonnie establishes a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients through a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Mindfulness strategies in her treatment.
