Mariana Cabral completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology at the Australian College of Applied Psychology, in Sydney, and her Bachelor of Psychology in Brazil. She has experience in both private and hospital settings, assisting individuals with difficulties related to substance use, stress, depression and anxiety, eating disorders, grief and relationship concerns. Mariana is experienced in delivering both individual and group therapy.
Mariana places high importance on building a nurturing and positive therapeutic relationship with her clients. She believes that when clients feel welcome and comfortable, they experience greater success in therapy. Mariana is passionate about helping others to increase personal awareness and better manage their emotional health, and to enhance their interpersonal and emotional regulation skills. She utilises strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and other evidence-based frameworks, tailoring her treatment to client’s individual needs.
Mariana is bilingual and can provide therapy in Brazilian Portuguese.
