Andrew Gatus completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at Australian Catholic University and holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from the University of New England. He has worked across multiple settings, including private practice, community health, and child and Indigenous health. Andrew uses an evidence-based approach incorporating cognitive behavioural therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. He has a passion for working with both children and adults, and has extensive experience assisting those with stress, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, social skills difficulties, substance use, and anger management.
Andrew is an exercise enthusiast and previous music teacher, and has a keen interest in the relationship between physical health and emotional wellbeing, as well as the effects of physical activity on child and adolescent mental health and development. He has a relaxed and flexible approach, and is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of individuals in the local community.
