Jacqui is a clinical psychologist with extensive training and experience in mental health services, completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in the UK, prior to emigrating to Australia in 2019. Jacqui is experienced in working across the lifespan with difficulties including stress, anxiety, depression and trauma and enjoys working from a range of clinical models, adopting a flexible and creative approach to meet each clients’ individual needs. She has a particular interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy and Attachment-based approaches.

 

As a parent herself, Jacqui has a passion for supporting parents, particularly around postnatal adjustment, managing parental wellbeing and supporting healthy relationships. She also has a special interest in working with children, particularly those under 12 years old, adopting a playful, accepting, curious and empathic approach (PACE). Jacqui was born in South Africa, emigrated to the UK, where she lived for 20 years, prior to emigrating to Australia. As such, she has a unique understanding of, and experience with the joys and challenges that come with moving to a new country.

 

Jacqui is passionate about helping her clients to overcome their past and present difficulties. She incorporates values and self-compassion to support her clients to connect with purpose and meaning in their lives, to build a strong sense of identity and enhance psychological flexibility.
