Sharnea is a provisional psychologist and completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at The University of Queensland, and her Masters of Professional Psychology at The University of the Sunshine Coast. Sharnea has a particular interest in supporting clients across the lifespan experiencing difficulties including stress, low self-esteem, anxiety and mood disorders, along with body image issues and disordered eating. Sharnea has worked across multiple roles and settings including private practice, not-for-profit organisations and residential care, and takes a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy, allowing her build authentic therapeutic connections, whilst challenging individuals to grow and change.
Sharnea draws on various treatment modalities in her practice including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while ensuring she tailors her approach based on individual needs, circumstances and preferences. She is passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health and enhance their overall wellbeing.
